My Project

An organized classroom filled with the basic needs for students allows them to feel confident knowing they physically have what they need and also that they know where to find it. A classroom is a second home for students, and having necessities like working pencil cases, crayons, scissors, and construction paper allows students to go into each day knowing they have what they need and not feel the anxiety of missing something.

On a greater scale, classroom organization such as student mailboxes, writing, math and phonics center organization carts, seat "backpacks" to hold books as our students have tables instead of desks, are just a few of the ways we can ensure students have not only what they need- but the space and means to keep and access it.

Students should have ownership over their materials, and materials like this will greatly add to the positive flow of our classroom community.
