This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to teach Physical Education at an extremely poor Title I school.

Even though it has become extremely difficult and sometimes frustrating to educate without needed supplies, our students still come to school eager to learn.

Our school rarely has extra funding for enriching material and if they do, the funds are used for older students. Many of my students' families will never have additional money to purchase educational materials. Therefore, I hope to be able to provide a fun and interesting way of learning so my students can succeed in life.

My Project

I'm requesting a PE starter pack for grades K to 2. In he pack there are foam balls, cones, jump ropes, bean bags and blocks. These materials will provide my students and their lives with a sense of healthiness by helping them to remain physically active. As well as enhance their gross motor and physical development. Many of my students are not as active as they should be. These materials will allow me to provide other avenues that will help them to become healthier, fit individuals in the future. Suchs as moving and traveling from one place to another, balancing skills, following directions, and social emotional development.

The children enjoy interacting through vigorous play and activities that help them to learn as well enhance their growth developmentally.
