My Project
In addition to providing day to day classroom supplies, these items will continue the idea of promoting community and welcoming in the class. Teenage boys are sweating all the time and aren't always prepared for the smell that comes with it, so I'm asking for deodorant. Teenage girls aren't always prepared for when their cycle starts, so the pads will be readily available to keep the girls comfortable and less concerned about "what happens if..." The first semester has a full classroom, students are crammed together, and just getting to know each other. The stress balls will hopefully allow them to get through tough spots. Knowing they're welcome, taken care of, and wanted in the classroom fosters a desire to be present and to learn!
