My students need 1 printer and 5 ink cartridges to print the Special Education curriculum that they use daily. We also need to print the work that they create and take it home.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very excited about learning but require a lot more printed materials and resources than our school has the funds to provide.
I have 16 6-8th grade students with moderate-severe disabilities.
They enjoy learning new things but they need support to access the curriculum. Our school is in a very low income neighborhood; all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. As a result, our school does not have the funds available for new printers and ink.
My Project
I am requesting 1 printer and 5 ink cartridges to print the Special Education curriculum that they use daily. We also need to print the work that they create and take it home.
Every lesson is supported with adapted text in various levels and math stories that help my students apply the skills to real life situations. With a new printer and ink, I will have the resources to provide this to my students as opposed to paying for it out of my own pocket every week.
With these new supplies, my students will receive a better quality education that is engaging and individualized to each student.
They will be supported as they gain a love of learning.
