My students need necessary writing, project, and sanitary materials to create a safe and productive educational environment.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nelson's classroom raised $340

My Students
I have been asked to describe my students. The majority of the young adults I teach across three grades originated from low-income families. Many are homeless, as defined by our school district.
Currently, students do not get the opportunity they deserve in the classroom.
These students face challenges that many could not imagine each and every day they walk the halls of their high school. They are all good kids, but they need to be challenged much more than they are in their classes currently. These eighty-five or so students love to talk and socialize. They enjoy a good laugh.
Sadly, I believe they have low expectations for themselves and this breaks my heart. Each is more than able to succeed, but due to their life and the environment they have been raised, they have gotten comfortable. I want to change their way of thinking and prove to them they can and will!
My Project
The supplies being requested for donation to my classroom are items that are necessary for everyday learning. The pencils and sharpener are materials that my students have problems with each day. The students either forget the materials or cannot afford to buy the materials. Currently, my students are using hand sharpeners, the little baby ones. they are going dull very quickly. We need the requested X-ACTO SchoolPro electric pencil sharpener.
I believe that a healthy and well supplied classroom can provide students a heightened opportunity to better their education.
For this reason, we need hand toilet paper and Clorox disinfecting wipes to keep sickness at bay and attendance up. This, in turn, will have the desired outcome of increased grades and building of immune systems.
The copy paper will provide more copies for the students to take home and study without the worry of not having enough paper to make copies. Many students in this county do not have access to a printer or internet at home.
I intend for my students to increase their knowledge by creating projects; however, to complete these projects supplies like Sharpie markers, Crayola colored pencils, and poster board are necessary for success. This could include a project of WW1 or an important inventor in history.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
