My students need 20 copies of "The Lorax", manila drawing paper, and 160 markers to create an art project on environmental education.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bryant's classroom raised $537
This project is fully funded
I'm and art teacher at a Pre-k to 8th school in a high poverty school district in urban Maryland. I teach all the students at my school.
As the art teacher to all of the students I'm challenged with having supplies to complete interesting projects. The lower elementary students love to have a book read to them and complete an art project based on that book.
As I'm teaching the next generation about the Earth using the Lorax, I need to share and show young children how to take care of it. In an urban and often nature-less environment it is easy to see the effects of litter and waste. If I can use the book teach young children the importance of trees and nature the cycle of environmental pollution can begin to stop. The students will use the art supplies to create a happy pollution-free environment and dirty polluted one. The visual images will reinforce the conservation lesson.
You will make it possible for my students to share in the joy of Dr. Seuss and learn how to preserve the earth.
