This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Returning to a school building after remote learning, due to the pandemic, has been a difficult transition for many students. In particular students with specific needs such as; autism, ADHD, ENL, and behavioral difficulties have faced many challenges trying to ease into an everyday school routine.
I want to be able to support my students' various learning needs by being able to provide them with multiple differentiated activities that they will find fun and challenging.
The additional support work/activities I would like to provide my students with would come from Teachers Pay Teachers where there is a multitude of differentiated work that aligns with the various curriculums that we use to teach. I want their additional practice to be used for our small group times and often to also practice at home.
I am limited in the types of hands-on activities that I am able to provide for my students due to restrictive resources and funding to and from my school. I have purchased many materials myself, to use with my students, as I want to make sure I am giving each of them the individualized support they need. Unfortunately, due to COVID, I have been unable to provide my students with many items that I would have purchased for them in the past.
A Teachers Pay Teachers card would allow me to be more creative with projects for my kids, but it would also help me in providing them and their families with additional work for intervention as well as enrichment.
