Salk students are determined to catch up from the learning they missed out on during the pandemic. We spend a great deal of time exploring and practicing much needed skills. My class enjoys learning centers and genius hour the most, which gives me time to work with a smaller group of students on specific content at their own level.
I believe my students are so special because they come to school everyday determined to learn even when things at home are usually difficult.
My team is working with Arizona State University Next Generation and Trevor Mckenzie on Inquiry Based Learning. These donations give the students an opportunity to explore different ways of thinking and practice with their peers. My goal is to provide my students with a variety of engaging ways to learn and practice content.
