Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I want to say I have the best students in the world. They are always eager to learn despite the hardships that they might encounter in their daily lives. I teach in a low-income community where most of our students are English language learners with different backgrounds and needs. Many of their homes lack essential educational resources. They come to school ready to learn and always give their best. They enjoy read-alouds, singing, counting, and technology.
My Project
I have learned that conference platforms and online resources are now a need in our education. However, these tools function best when utilizing current technology. A laptop will enhance our learning experience as we build our virtual classroom community.
This device is an essential tool to help me plan, share, and teach during distance learning.
Access to a laptop will allow me to create and deliver more engaging distance learning lessons and maintain communication with families and colleagues. I will be able to readily access resources and conduct ZOOM meetings with students and colleagues without any interruption.
