My Students
My students are a group of children from many different backgrounds. We are vast multicultural schools of all levels of economic status however the majority are low social economic backgrounds. Most of our students are first generation Americans or they themselves are immigrants. We are labeled a Title one school for this reason.
I am looking to forward my students to better understand the English language through many project activities and using internet to gain knowledge through reading and math online programs that are offered through a variety of apps.
My Project
At our school we have two desk tops in the classroom, however I would like at least six children to have access to reading and math programs to enhance learning at least on a weekly basis. By having four more computers to access the internet independently, students will benefit by having a chance once a week rather than once a month in my classroom. This can improve math as well as reading skills using the programs that the school supplies for the students. Also our research projects can go faster with more students being able to connect to the internet and do the research in class and during independent time.
