This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing, however, not having privileges, as many others, they tend to sometimes, not see the whole picture. They come from low-income families who do not have enough of the basic essentials, let alone supplies for school. My students deserve all the advantages in education to help them reach their potential. Through the use of Puppetry, we will focus on life's lessons to help promote positive self-esteem. The emotional well-being of a child is the utmost important when building successful bridges in learning.
My Project
My plan for the puppet stage, puppets, and craft supplies I requested will be used to promote emotional well-being and build their self-esteem by creating and acting out different roles throughout the year. My students need to feel comfortable expressing their feelings. Using puppets will make it safe for them to share as well as build their self-confidence through oral presentations.
As the year progresses, the students will be given a chance to write and create their own story to share with the class.
I am confident these activities will create an atmosphere of well-being for all and enhance their self-growth.
