My Students
"Music education can help spark a child's imagination or ignite a lifetime of passion. When you provide a child with new worlds to explore and challenges to tackle, the possibilities are endless. Music education should not be a privilege for a lucky few, it should be a part of every child's world of possiblity." - Hillary Clinton
I believe in providing my students the very best music education possible.
My pre-kindergarten through third grade music students are hard-working, fun-loving, and a pleasure to teach. I want to encourage their love for learning, and inspire them to grow as learners and musicians.
My Project
This school year, I will have the opportunity to teach several enrichment programs to my students. In these programs, I will work with small groups of students to study topics in depth.
The materials I am requesting will help my students to get a comprehensive view of the subjects we will be working on.
The various movie musicals kits will help my students to learn about great theatrical works, such as Annie, Mary Poppins, The Music Man, and The Sound of Music. They will not only learn about the storylines, they will study the parts of a musical, the roles of people working on musicals, and they will, of course, study the music of these musicals.
The Around the World materials will give my students a view into various countries around the world; we will not only study music of the various countries, we will gain knowledge of their art, cultural traditions, holidays and history. What a great way for my students to gain access to the world around them!
The Rainbow ukulele pack is a proven method to help young students gain ukulele skills. The color coded method of learning the ukulele that this program introduces will make the instrument accessible to even my youngest learners.
The composition materials will use holidays throughout the year as inspiration to get my students to express their creativity through composition.
I am so excited for the opportunity to introduce these topics to my students, and I appreciate your help in making this possible!
