Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My scholars are the most resilient, flexible, and caring bunch I have had in my 17 years of teaching! They have definitely been impacted by COVID both educationally, emotionally, and personally. This project will be so beneficial for them both now and in the long-run. I have included organizational tools such as folders and cubbies for them, as well as appropriate educational material to include a variety of novels to be enriched with.

Despite their many challenges, these books and materials will help ensure that these scholars have ample opportunities to learn in different ways!

The past two years, they have had struggles and I have seen how much of an impact it has had on them and their families, especially financially. The books I can provide them through this project will help them to travel to worlds unlike the one we currently live in. To escape for a brief moment and get caught up in good literature will yield calm minds.
