Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a second grade classroom. Majority of the students in my classroom come from disadvantage backgrounds and I want to give them all the opportunities they deserve to be successful in the world. My students come to school with varying abilities, and our goal is to foster lifelong learners in a positive learning environment. At the second grade level, students are becoming more independent and beginning to read for learning as opposed to learning how to read. I want my students are happy to come to school each day and are eager to learn new things.
My Project
Regardless of being in the classroom or at home, my students deserve high quality education. With these tools, I can replicate aspects of the classroom through the computer screens and provide anchor charts to reference material previously taught that students can use to aid their learning.
The material will aid me in building strong teacher-student bonds.
With the post it chart paper, my students and I can create expectations for our virtual classroom as well as include our daily morning message. The white board will allow me to show examples of their thinking in math as well as literacy.
