This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am excited to be teaching Philosophy, ethics and logical thinking to students in grades 3 to 5 in the upcoming school year. I am looking for donations to help set up a learning space that will be ready for sharing ideas and displaying our thoughts using white boards. Having a mobile whiteboard will help me provide my students with access for opportunities to display group ideas and provide them with collaborative thinking spaces.
Imagine the rich discussion's that will take place as students jot down ideas and have a gallery walk that will lead to analytical thinking and debates on philosophical ideas!
I am also asking for Scholastic News magazines to engage students in responding to child friendly reports of current event that are of high interest to young learners.
