This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All young people live a good story and the advent of social media has blunted many teens ability to become absorbed in a GOOD BOOK!

This project will provide high interest reading materials for students to lose themselves in… and foster a love for reading that will last a lifetime.

When students have access to books they see themselves differently and see themselves as readers.

By bringing students texts that they will want to read, their literacy skills will improve dramatically and they will understand that reading is as pleasurable as scrolling on the web. We will be establishing a culture of reading and nurturing life-long readers.
