This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school has many English language learners. Currently we have limited human resources as well as materials to provide adequate service for our students.
This project will provide some very basic foundational learning in terms of books and literacy kits for our students.
Our English language learners, well benefit, not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. When children excel academically, they feel empowered, more confident. Being an immigrant myself, this is especially close to my heart, I can speak firsthand from my own experiences being an immigrant in this country although it’s been more than 30 years since I migrated to North America, I still remember my elementary school experiences like it happened yesterday. I chose to become an educator to make a difference. I can accomplish this with your generosity in providing these tools. It will certainly help me to accomplish my goal.
