Help me give my students books that they can read together at school with book buddies and then take home to grow their home libraries.

My Project
My project is to form book clubs with my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students again this year, building on the success of last year.
Being in book clubs helps to build excitement around books and reading at our school.
I will be partnering 1st and 3rd grade students, which helps to build community and relationships. And my goal is for students to be able to take home the books that they read in book club, which helps to grow their classroom libraries, and gives them practice with reading fluency.
Last year, I had all 2nd graders in Piggy and Gerald book club, and I want to repeat this club again this year. Kids find these books approachable since they are written in a graphic novel format with all text in speech bubbles. They get lots of practice with reading fluency because the books have many high frequency words and kids like to read them over and over. They are perfect for partner reading, as each partner can read aloud for one of the characters. And they bring so much joy to the room because kids find the illustrations and writing style to be absolutely hilarious.
I also want to partner 1st and 3rd grade students for partner reading. The 3rd graders volunteer to come read to a younger buddy and both the younger and older students love this time reading together. I will have the 3rd graders read books with the first graders that are highly accessible and engaging, that the first graders can practice reading at home afterwards.
