There are certainly, many items you can provide to students to make class more enjoyable and engaging. The fidget toys, crafts, and post-it notes are all great options that can help students stay focused and motivated. The TPT gift cards will be especially useful in creating and planning lessons to make them fun and engaging, while time from having to create these great resources myself. Some of the resources they may have on TPT include number charts, student planners, calendars, games for lessons, clip art, and even whole lessons in every subject imaginable. The TPT gift cards also help me in finding resources for ML (multilingual) students to help them in their learning journey. Students who may have behaviors or learning disabilities I may find resources to help and motivate them in their unique learning journey.
Fidget toys can be particularly helpful for students who have trouble sitting still and need to move around in order to concentrate.
These fidget toys can help students release nervous energy and refocus their attention on the task at hand.
Craft supplies can also be a great addition to my classroom. Students will have an opportunity to create their own projects during class. This can be a fun way to provide a creative outlet for students who may be struggling in other areas.
Finally, post-it notes can be very useful for a quick note to send home to parents, writing down a word a student needs help with, or using for an exit ticket to check students understanding of a lesson being taught. The different colors and having something different for students to write on encourage and motivate students. This can help students and provides feedback for the teacher.
