Enhancing Writing Through Charts and Smelly Markers!

My students need a variety of writing tools to help enhance their learning.

My Students

My 28 kindergarteners have an extreme amount of love for learning that I have never seen before! They love reading, writing, and doing math.

My school is located in the heart of a great neighborhood in Philadelphia.

We are a Title I public school that lacks the funding and the necessary resources, but we make do with what we do have.

My students have the desire to acquire knowledge and be engaged in the learning process. My goal is to support this intrinsic motivation with hands-on opportunities.

My Project

My students love to write! I love to use sentence strips, chart paper, and smelly markers to enhance their writing experience. Unfortunately, the smelly markers I have have run out, and I am running low on chart paper and sentence strips.

If I am able to get the sentence strips, chart paper, smelly markers, wipe off pockets, my students will be thrilled.

They will be able to enjoy the smelly markers. They will be able to create their own charts to help them learn various topics. During centers, my students will be able to use the wipe off pockets to learn to write various word families. Overall, their writing will become better because they will enjoy the writing process because of these materials.
