My Students
My students love to have a good time and laugh no matter what we are doing. I work with High School Students with mild to severe disabilities. They are outgoing and very excited about learning. They have a love for music and are artistic. I love my students' ability to use their sense of humor no matter what we are working on. They are alway looking forward to creating new projects. They are great at adapting to technology and using new ways to learn.
My Project
Students with Disabilities are often excluded from the activities that their peers have access to. I have been working with musical performances and recordings for students with severe disabilities. What I have found is that in general, they struggle with pitch. The vocal auto tune is not only a solution to their pitch control, but it is also technology that is used in the music industry.
The vocal tune will be used with students who have hearing loss, and difficulty understanding pitch control.
I currently use professional recording software paired with industry standard equipment to ensure my students get the same experience that other people have. I will use the auto tune to make a collection of student-made songs for the students and their loved ones.
