My Students

Our school is situated in a rural area surrounded by beautiful mountains, farms, and a wonderful neighborhood!

Kindergarten is such a new and exciting adventure for the teacher and the students!

Many times, kindergarten can be a student's first real experience in a classroom environment, and I want to make it awesome! My goal is to have students come to school excited and ready to learn each day! It is such an honor, as their teacher, to lay the educational foundation for these little learners! I can't wait to see all the learning that will take place this school year!

My Project

I have selected a variety of materials, supplies, and organizational tools that will enhance the Kindergarten experience for my students! Many of the games, puzzles, and kits I have chosen will enhance my students' learning experiences in reading and math concepts, science, and STEM lessons.

These materials and supplies will make learning fun!

The farm animals, mini erasers, and bingo dabbers will give my students fun ways to create equations, story problems, and enhance their one to one correspondence in counting skills. The geo-boards, rubber bands, magnetic chips and wands, jumbo tweezers, hole punchers, and plastic trays will enhance the lessons taught that involve math, science, and STEM skills. Wearing witch fingers and using rainbow pointers will be a fun way for students to practice tracking skills in reading. Lastly, the wikki stix sets and drawing boards will be used for letter, word, and number practice in small groups.

An organized classroom helps students learn efficiently! The storage bins will be used to house many of the different hands-on materials I use with students regularly. The wire baskets will hold student "carpet bags" which we use daily for intructional practice and various activities, during carpet time! Our classroom is also in need of a new pencil sharpener, skin colored crayons, and some chart paper, all of which are used on a daily basis for learning and writing.

As a teacher, I can really use a new laptop case to protect one of my most valuable assets-my laptop! I use my laptop multiple times a day to communicate with parents and staff, create learning activities, look up research articles for best learning practices, and much, much more!
