My Project

My kindergarten students often begin their educational journey in my classroom. As they transition to classroom learning, their bodies are not ready to be so still in traditional chairs. They need to be active and will find ways to move their chairs, many times in unsafe ways, causing constant reminders to be safe and also distractions from learning.

When young students have access to flexible seating options like wobble stools, wiggle seats, yoga balls and other choices, their ability to process information improves.

Additionally, these seating options encourage movement which stimulates their brains allowing them to concentrate more on tasks.
