Enhancing School Wellness Through the Expression of Art

My Project

At our school, students are more than artists—they’re leaders, uplifters, and community-builders.

Through this project, our Visual arts students will engage in a schoolwide intiative of creating artwork for exhibition that is focused on wellness and using art to promote wellness, kindness, and mental health awareness.

As inspired by our district’s Mental Health Month efforts, students will create pieces with various forms of media for a schoolwide exhibition. This will spread peace and hope throughout our campus.

To bring this vision to life, we need:

Illustration markers and mixed media paper for the art pieces.

A drying rack to safely preserve art pieces before they are framed for presentation and wipes to keep the studio space clean after artmaking.

These student activities will not only benefit our school, but also the wider community. Our students—a number of which have exhibited at local and state art education events—are ready to lead through creativity and make a lasting impact.

With your help, we’ll equip them to use their talents to spread wellness, inspire kindness, and foster emotional support across our community.
