it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a dedicated high school math teacher, I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that make math accessible and exciting for all students. Mathematics is often overlooked as a dry and uninteresting subject, with many students perceiving it as abstract and disconnected from real life.
Therefore, providing them with math board games, card games, and puzzle books, allows a dynamic and engaging way for students to enhance their math skills, and explore mathematical thinking in a relaxed, engaging way with their peers while promoting their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, using a Polaroid camera during activities can enhance a playful learning environment by capturing tangible memories, snapshot accomplishments moments, and building team spirit with group photos of collaboration and fun moments. I strongly believe by integrating a Polaroid camera, we add a playful, creative dimension to math games, turning learning into something memorable, visually rewarding, and community-building. It helps students see learning not just as solving problems, but as creating experiences worth celebrating.
Students at my school are eager to learn and deeply motivated to understand complex concepts. They are always seeking new, innovative approaches to learning. Therefore, the goal is to inspire students to develop a deeper interest in math and equip them with the tools and confidence to succeed in these fields.
