Enhancing Literacy Through Music

My students need a music literature library.

Enhancing Education through Music and Literacy I am a traveling music teacher that teaches over 500 K-5th grade students at one school and over 100 Kindergarten students at the other school. Both communities are high-need communities. A good music education can not only teach children music, but enhance other academic subjects as literacy, history, science, and mathematics.

The problem that I am facing at my schools is not having resources to teach my Kindergarten students. I currently teach 12 classes of super excited Kindergartners.

I asking for your help to start a music literature library in my classroom. The books I have selected on my list will enhance my music lessons and give me new resources to use for Kindergarten. Some of these books come with music Cd's. This will enable us to read the story and singing along with the Cd's. These books, not only cover many different music topics they will open doors in enhancing literacy and history too.
