Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My transition class is a dynamic learning environment where students develop essential academic and life skills.
To support their growth, I am seeking funding for essential hands-on materials, including sentence strips, calculators, and art supplies, which will enhance their learning experience across multiple subjects.
Developing strong literacy skills is essential for my students, and sentence strips will play a key role in helping them practice sentence structure, sight words, and written communication in an interactive way. Calculators will provide crucial assistance in functional math skills, such as budgeting and problem-solving, ensuring students can apply these concepts in real-life situations. Art supplies will foster creativity, allowing students to engage in hands-on projects that promote critical thinking and social-emotional development. Each of these tools will help supplement our lessons and create meaningful learning experiences.
