My Project

These kids I get the chance to teach are the kindest, generous, positive students! I’m so blessed to be able to teach them and start their school journey off right. They are each unique but when they can come together, they can change the world.

This is a critical time in their learning journey.

If we can’t teach students how to engage and interact with others first, the academic journey can be tainted from the start. It is such a crucial time that students learn how to sit together and get along, have morning meetings where we encourage and help each other; and learn while listening to stories. This rug will help students feel at ease when coming into the classroom. It will also calm them when sitting with a group of kids they may not know yet. They can be better humans when we can teach them how to have conversations and be kind to another. This will be the beginning to life skills that are absolutely necessary in our world.
