Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to my resource classroom knowing that it is a safe and welcoming community for them to join. They bring excitement to my room that makes me excited to be teaching them.

Each of my students loves trying new learning strategies, enjoy hands-on activities, and have many ways of expressing themselves.

I incorporate a variety of strategies, assessments, and materials in everyday interventions, in order to ensure that each student's needs are met, no matter what their strengths may be!

My Project

This special education, resource classroom is already a safe and welcoming environment for all of the kindergarten and first-grade students who enter it. The students who spend time here receive accommodations and modifications to fit their individual needs, in order for them to have an equal opportunity to learn and grow.

By donating a few comfy seats and many new intervention games to our classroom, you will help give my students, who otherwise often struggle in regular classroom settings, a modern and exciting way to learn and express themselves.

No matter what challenges my students face at home, they come to school wanting to be successful and it is my job to create an environment for them where they can do just that. This project is where that begins.
