My Project
By taking this course, I’ll be able to grow as an educator and better support my diverse students while also meeting the requirements for the CLAD certification through the University of Phoenix. This certification will help me create a more inclusive and effective learning environment for all my students. As an educator in a diverse 5th-grade classroom, I need the CTEL 2: Assessment and Instruction course to learn essential knowledge about standards-based assessments, different types of assessments, and their roles in guiding instruction.
By learning how to implement effective language and content-area assessments, I will be better equipped to monitor student progress and tailor my teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of my students.
Additionally, the course’s focus on English Language Development (ELD) and Specifically Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE) will help me incorporate research-based methods to support language growth while ensuring that students can access grade-level content. Understanding how to integrate both first and second languages in instruction will be invaluable in fostering a more inclusive and equitable learning environment.
