it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a school librarian, I positively impact all 550 students in our learning community. One of my goals is to read books and teach lessons that help students learn and understand compassion. The Apple TV device can make a significant difference in promoting digital literacy and facilitating screen mirroring in the library when reading books and delivering lessons focusing on compassion and SEL skills. Students will learn to see the world through another person's eyes by participating in student-led conferences and discussions.
These activities will help my students learn to view the world through the perspective of others, enhancing their understanding and fostering empathy towards diverse experiences.
Students can view the compassion lessons on our interactive panel and come up to it to reflect by choosing an answer about what they learned. This will allow me to measure their understanding of promoting compassion and social change. They will set personal and group goals focused on acts of kindness and support. I will measure their success by tracking their involvement in initiatives or projects at school. Overall, they will learn about compassion and how to spread it. We'd be grateful for any support.
