This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m at a new school this year and access to reliable printing -- let alone color printing!-- has been a struggle. I’ve been printing my lessons using my personal inkjet printer, but the high cost and short lifespan of ink cartridges make this unsustainable. I love our 140 new 9th graders and want to continue creating original and engaging curricula for them.
In my ten years teaching English Language Learners, I’ve found that color copies are KEY to making them differentiated materials.
A classroom printer will help me create better graphic organizers, and color-coded mentor texts, incorporate maps into my history curriculum, and help us celebrate multiculturalism in my after-school club.
My students are such treasures and I am so grateful for your support.
