Enhancing Communication Through Speech and Language Therapy
Help me give my students materials that will help them reach their goals in speech/language therapy to become better communicators in and outside of the classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love working with my speech and language students because of their enthusiasm and curiosity. I am tasked to service Pre-K through 4th grade. Every day they come in with an eagerness to learn, trying their best to understand and apply what they have learned. Having access to materials that are engaging and tailored to their individual needs helps to further motivate and excite them. With these materials, I am able to create lessons that are fun and interactive, while also teaching them new skills. My students learn to communicate better, process language more efficiently, and have improved confidence in their abilities. I believe these materials can give my students the opportunity to be successful and reach their full potential. Through these materials, donors can help empower my students and make a difference in their lives.
