This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This proposal seeks funding to integrate fidget toys into the classroom environment. Fidget toys are designed to help students manage their sensory needs and increase focus. This project aims to utilize these tools to enhance students' attention, reduce classroom disruptions, and support overall academic performance.

In recent years, educators and researchers have increasingly recognized the role of sensory tools in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Fidget toys, including stress balls, fidget spinners, and chewing gum, have been shown to help students manage restlessness and improve focus. Offering a variety of options to meet students needs also comes with the job of storing the tools and teaching proper use of the tools. I plan to implement a system to offer and collect the tools in the classroom setting.
