My Students

I'm a computer science teacher and have the unique opportunity to work with students from numerous groups. I have basketball players, swimmers, student council, band kids, orchestra players, gamers, and kids from all the "cliques" you could probably think of in a high school. Students who otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity to know each other have discovered their shared passions through technology with someone from another "clique" and are making unlikely yet strong friendships.

My Project

These monitors will get a lot of use! I have students in my classroom learning how to code, doing design work, broadcasting, cybersecurity, computer hardware, and even gaming (both playing and creating). Having additional monitors on hand, especially ones with good resolution and a decent refresh rate will allow students to expand their creative space.

After school hours, the monitors will be able to be utilized for our school's gaming club where students from numerous school groups gather to socialize and compete against other schools.

The computers I have in my lab are great, but they do not have monitors with very high specifications. This project will allow me to give students an enhanced experience.
