Enhance Student's Musical Performance by Donating Needed Auxiliary Instruments!
Help me give my students the experience of playing auxiliary instruments at schools that currently do not have these instruments that are needed for an upcoming musical performance.
Thank you for considering donating to our instrumental program. Our district and instrumental program is growing; therefore, your donation would help fill in the financial gaps to support our young performers. This is my 20th year of teaching and this past year I have returned to teaching instrumental music at two elementary schools and one middle school. This year I discovered that the instrumentation for the percussion section was incomplete. Our district is very supportive of the arts, but due to financial restraints and freezes they are unable to provide our program with the few instruments that are needed for our upcoming performance.
Your donation would provide students the opportunity to experience playing auxiliary percussion instruments that we currently do not have.
These instruments would never need to replaced and are standard percussion instruments that all students should experience playing. The request of several of the same instruments are due to teaching in multiple schools that currently do not have them these items. All the instruments requested are in several of our musical pieces and currently we will have to omit the percussion parts of instruments we do have.
I teach students with many different academic and sometimes physical challenges so being able to provide a variety of different instrumental options helps everyone find success in the small group and large group settings is essential.
