This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class is specifically focused on newcomer students. These students have recently arrived to the country, and often have little they bring with them. Students start their high school experience in my classroom and I want to give them all the tools to feel capable and self reliant.
By providing students with supplies, like a notebook and pencils, my students will be able to engage with the health curriculum and practice their writing.
We also will have a wall of photos that we will build upon as the year progresses, this is why I am asking for a Poloroid film. The process of building community will start here.
