This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth grade students are English language learners. I need help to buy supplies that will help me create an effective reading station for small groups or individual lessons

I am requesting printing paper to print assignments, reading levels stories, graphic organizers, and Decoding strategies to connect sounds to alphabetic letters.

My classroom needs pencils Students write practice words and then break into phonemic sounds. They are learning to mater letters and sounds for meaning. I am requesting a laminator for creating example material and anchor charts for reference. I would also be able to create individual reference charts for translations.

My students will benefit from having reference materials, their own paper copies to annotate notes on, and from reading materials to practice speaking in English for fun.

Reference materials for my classroom have to be made and personalized for my students learning needs. I know the paper and laminator will make a huge difference. I cannot buy or get premade materials that are intended for native English speakers or classroom signs for beginning bilingual words my students masters back in August.

I would appreciate any help to get my students ready for 5th grade next year. I have only a couple of months to do as much as I can to help them get a solid foundation to build upon. Thank you!
