Help me give my students the tools to organize their classroom. Basic supplies will be provided to any student who needs them. Additionally, creative supplies and the laminator will be used to make projects display-worthy.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is designed to meet three areas of need in my classroom: organization, basic supplies, and project materials.
First of all, the two desktop organizers will be used to hold classroom materials available to all students who need them.
The mail slot organizer will hold copies of all assignments so students can take responsibility to stay on top of work or complete missing assignments. The rolling carts will hold student notebooks and ongoing projects. Finally, the color coding dots will be used to "genre-fy" my classroom library and make it easier for students to find books of interest.
This list also includes a variety of general classroom materials which will be provided for all students who need them, such as pencils, pens, sticky notes, erasers, and notebooks. The random assortment of stickers will allow students to customize their own writer's notebooks for class.
The final area of classroom need is project materials. The scrapbook paper and glue sticks will be used to help students create meaningful representations of their learning. The laminator and pouches will allow me to laminate select exemplars of student work to save from year to year.
