When the weather is nice, I often give my students the option to sit outside to complete their independent work. I think this has been especially powerful this year as students' anxiety around being around others during Covid has gone up and down. However, my corner of campus has zero outdoor seating options for students. I have some yoga mats and lap tables that have given students the option to sit outdoors to do their work, but I'd love to give them a more comfortable choice as well.
Students are more successful when they have opportunities to control their learning environment.
These tables will provide my students with the option to be empowered by their choice of a working environment. It would be my hope that these tables will continue to make my classroom a safe space that encourages learning.
