This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students are very interested in lessons that involve engineering.
Our students have limited life experiences outside our neighborhood and not enough opportunities to be exposed to this career field.
This reality does not stop my students to be naturally inquisitive and look for ways to explore beyond their limited scope of experience. I picked kits that require hands-on experience and activities to promote problem-solution and engineering skills. Knowing my students, I am sure that these activities are going to inspire and motivate them to become complex thinkers and open the opportunity to become engineers in a near future.
