This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is home to 700 students. We are a Title I school which means that we are a high poverty school. Over 83% of our students receive free or reduced-rate meals. About 62% of our students are ESOL students meaning that they are learning English.

My Project

Many students from my school do not have the resources to buy basic school supplies. I am asking for donations to purchase Play-Doh to be distributed to my students in primary grades. Although we are teaching 100% online, students can still come to school four days a week to pick up free meals. I intend to distribute materials during that time.

Students will use Play-Doh to build structures, practice making letters and numbers, animals, sight words, and so much more!

I want my students to be able to participate with hands-on materials during online learning!
