This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to create, design, and figure out how things work. They are curious learners who thrive when given hands-on opportunities to stretch their thinking. A Kapla Wooden Construction Set will give them the chance to explore building, engineering, and problem-solving in a fun and meaningful way.
Kapla blocks are simple but powerful.
They are all the same size and shape, which means students have to use patience, creativity, and persistence to bring their ideas to life. These blocks will allow my students to work together to build large structures, take part in the engineering design process with STEM challenges, and learn from mistakes as they go.
Having this set in our classroom at our Title I school will give my students endless opportunities to collaborate, think critically, and let their imaginations soar. I know these blocks will quickly become one of their favorite ways to learn, explore, and create together.
