it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children are naturally curious about the world around them. Sadly, the COVID lockdowns and online schooling reduced their opportunities to explore and create STEM projects. COVID lockdowns affected my students’ social and emotional skills. My students need to learn how to communicate with each other and how to work in a team. The materials I have selected such as building an Electric Air Racer, or creating a safe carrier for an egg drop, will rekindle my students’ creativity and curiosity
The opportunity to engage in hands-on STEM projects allows my students to have fun while developing critical thinking, problem solving, and social skills.
Creating a STEM center of building materials like KEVA Brain Builder gives my restless students a place to calm down and create. Engaging my students in STEM activities will help my students gain confidence working in teams as they learn to collaborate, actively listen, and cooperate with each other. This engagement in STEM projects will improve my students’ interactions with each other, allowing them to grow socially, emotionally and academically.
