My Project

At Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy (DEMA), we are committed to fostering a love for STEM and engineering in our students. To expand hands-on learning beyond the classroom, we want to create an Outdoor STEM Exploration Zone in our courtyard. With life-sized STEM games and interactive engineering challenges, students will have the opportunity to collaborate, problem-solve, and build essential STEM skills in an engaging outdoor setting.

We are seeking large-scale, durable STEM games and materials that will allow students to engage in engineering and problem-solving activities outside.

These materials will encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity while providing students with a hands-on learning experience in a natural environment.

Impact on Students:

By integrating STEM activities into an outdoor learning space, students will experience STEM education in a dynamic, hands-on way. This project will:

• Foster creativity and problem-solving skills.

• Encourage cooperative learning and teamwork.

• Allow students to apply engineering concepts in real-world, interactive ways.

• Provide an alternative, engaging STEM learning environment beyond the classroom.

At DEMA, we believe that STEM is everywhere, and we want our students to experience the joy of learning engineering concepts beyond four walls. With your support, we can create an exciting outdoor STEM space where students can build, explore, and engineer their own solutions to real-world challenges.
