Help me give my students some hands-on fun and learning with this amazing Engineering is Elementary kit!

My classroom is a K-8 STEAM class for all students! Students in my classroom participate in project based learning, career awareness and exploration, robotics, coding, green STEAM, and community problem based learning. Students are learning 21st century skills. They learn how the world of science is constantly working around them and what their parts will be in that world some day! Many of my students come with diverse backgrounds and are learning to care about our planet. The students are starting to see how we are connected to both the natural environment and a larger community beyond our school.
I am passionate about STEAM education and try to find meaningful ways to engage my students with hands-on learning opportunities both inside the classroom and in the outdoor environment.
By providing them with experiences beyond traditional learning, my students are more willing to care about something because it relates to their lives in some way.
In my classroom, the arrangement is set up a student centered classroom. My students work on problem-based projects and activities that encourage them to connect to the natural environment and science.
Through this project, students will have access to an amazing kit from Engineering is Elementary! Students will be able to design their very own Air Drop Package which includes all the supplies and materials needed. Students in groups will spend time engineering, planning, and designing their package to drop. Through the construction process, students will learn the skills of following a plan, testing their project, and collaborating with others. Then come drop day, students will see the fruits of their labor and celebrate their Air Drop Package. Through STEAM education, students are learning 21st century skills that will take them into many different career paths in the future!
