My Project
My students are most engaged when they work in small groups in a lab setting. These items will supply and stock lab stations where students can design, create, and build. They will study engineering theories, and entrepreneurial practices. Then develop and practice these theories to observe a current design of a the simple machines imbedded in a current toy design.
Then they will apply engineering techniques to develop new products and design patents.
They will practice how to collect data to test standards such as stress, flexibility, durability. Then assess human factors such as stimulation, concentration, and playability. These skills will translate to creating the critical thinking skills necessary in today's changing society.
This next generation of scientists will practice methodical approaches to new problems that today's scientists are not yet aware. They will learn skills necessary to create new products and patents that solve problems necessary to advance the future of engineering and technology.
