My Project
Middle schoolers are full of creativity, curiosity, and ideas that deserve more than just paper and pencil, which is why I'm so excited to be teaching a new STEM class next year! With a 3D printer in our classroom, my students will be able to design and build their own creations—whether it's a personalized keychain, a functional prototype, or even a visual model for a story or poem they’ve written in ELA.
In our STEM class, students will learn how to use 3D design software to bring their visions to life.
They’ll be thinking critically, problem-solving, and learning how to revise their designs just like they revise their writing. As an ELA teacher too, I’m excited to blend subjects. Imagine students designing a symbol that represents a character, a scene from a novel, or even creating physical products that pair with persuasive writing or research projects.
