My Students

My second graders have an endless capacity to explore the world around them and figure out how things work. With these materials I would be able to give them experiences that allow them to combine teamwork, planning, building, and problem solving.

My students are full of energy and are always eager to try new things.

Everyday they ask "What new things are we learning today?" It's amazing how they take in each new idea or concept and apply to new ideas and learning experiences. Their love for learning is often challenged by their lack of resources. This should never be an obstacle facing a child.

My Project

These materials would enable my students to connect math and science through a variety of hands-on experiences that encourage teamwork, open-ended thinking, and taking risks. Students would have the opportunity to build and invent any number of contraptions. These materials would help them explore concepts that will take them into their future.

My students need STEM Learning Labs, Don't Lose Your Marbles STEM Learning Lab and STEM Non-Fiction Books.

This project will spark a love of learning in math, science, and engineering. They will build upon leadership qualities and learn to work together. These lessons just might be the catalyst for a child to make a career choice that will benefit more than just themselves.
