My Project
Hello! My name is Mrs. Hulgan, and I am the teacher of a wonderful group of 17 Kindergarten students. Our classroom is a place full of excitement, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. As we embark on our literacy journey this year, I am seeking support to provide my students with the tools they need to become confident readers and writers.
In Kindergarten, students are beginning to explore the alphabet, phonics, and literacy skills that will set the foundation for their academic success.
To help my students engage with these essential skills, I am requesting several Alphabet, Literacy, and Phonics Hot Dots workbooks and Hot Dot pens. These interactive tools will make learning fun, as students use the pens to get instant feedback while practicing letter recognition, letter sounds, and simple words. The self-checking nature of these resources is perfect for fostering independence and boosting confidence in our early learners.
Additionally, I am requesting Phonics tiles and magnetic tiles, which will be used in small group sessions with me. These hands-on materials will give students the opportunity to manipulate letters and sounds as they build words, develop phonemic awareness, and practice spelling. These interactive activities are essential for reinforcing the connections between letters, sounds, and words, which are key to early literacy development.
By providing these tools, I am confident that my students will be able to engage more deeply with the content and build a solid foundation in literacy.
